Acceptable First Date Questions....

So guys, today we have a guest post from my home girl Tora who's new to the Nigerian dating scene. She's an upcoming reality show producer who wants to know what questions are appropriate to ask or be asked on a first date. I know I've been asked some really dumb questions before on a first date, and I'm sure I've asked a few myself. So let's show some love, post your comments on questions you think are acceptable or unacceptable on a first date. Your comment might just be the one she picks for her reality show. Thanks guys. Here is her post...

Hey Gigi, it's your Girl T-Reel here. I see you've been on a relationship tip on your blog lately. So I would like to throw out a question to you and your readers, as I've been out of the dating game for a hot minute now.

So before I put this question out there, let's not get it twisted... I'm not new to the dating game (and have no desire to get back into it right now). However, I am new to the Nigerian dating scene and was curious to know how it compairs in comparison to what I have been accustomed to. So back to my initial thought which was...

1st date question: When an initial encounter leads to a 1st date with someone who you really don't know from a can of paint, what type of questions are deemed unacceptable and what type of question would be considered acceptable to ask when your really getting to know someone for the 1st time?

Would also love to hear about your1st date questions - have you ever been asked any awkward or ridiculous questions and you just wanted to or had to say "Errrr that's none of your daaaaaaaaam business"?

Look forward to reading your response. One love T-Reel

  1. Tora darling, The Nigerian dating scene is totally different from what you know, I can't really explain but you'll find out soon heheheh as for unacceptable questions I had a guy ask me on our first date if my vijay jay gets wet easily or takes forever ! I was shocked! I'm hardly every speechless but trust me that day I was mute! Still trying to process what prompted that question.

  3. Been out of the dating scene for a while now but I know what works best is to avoid pre - planning the questions....It would look like an interview session if you do that. Just enjoy the flow and let your heart nd head lead the way.

  4. I agree with emmanuel... just let it flow... though I have had some awkward questions asked me on some first dates..lol.. and usually it helps in determining if I wanna see the person again or not
