Heineken Lagos Fashion Design Week 2015

Every fashion designer looks forward to a "fashion week" of some sort. A week of gilts and glamour, everyone dressing to impress ,designers working their butts off to make sure their designs are well tailored and try to put out beautiful pieces on the runway. Heineken Lagos fashion and design week 2015 was last week 28-31 October and I was lucky to be there. It was amazing!

I was like a child in a candy store! Thanks to Chioma, kola and Andrew, you guys rock big time!

All the designers did an excellent job! A few of them did stand out for me though. And of course I had my favorite outfits.

Chechi Arinze and Wanger Ayu both were on LFDW Fashion Focus. They are indeed to be focused on, both designers had lovely collections. I have my favorites pieces from their collections I would love to own.

Chechi Arinze's collection.

Wanger Ayu' collection. I love the outfit on the last right, it on my Christmas wish list. Lol

Akpos Okudu's collection was lovely, very peachy, lots of lace and organza. It was a breath of fresh air. Very very chic.

Moofa one of my many favorite nigerian designers brought it! Lots of silk, lace, organza and a lot of butterflies. Very flirty, girly and elegant. I loved her collection.

Onalaja's collection was beautiful. Ejiro Amos Tafiri nailed day 2 for me! Her collection was on point! Every piece was on point.

Nuraniya didn't disappoint at all. When I saw her name as one of the designers I couldn't wait to see her collection and boy! she did bring it on! Tojo Foyeh! I practically stalk her Instagram page. Her collection! STUNNING! I was so impressed! She did an amazing job with her SS16 collection.

Day 3 ended for me on a high! Mai Atafo! No one else comes close! There are no words to describe his work. I suggest you see them yourself! It was outstanding! Every piece I could totally rock! He did put up an amazing runway show. I left day 3 smiling.

3 of my favorite Mai Atafo's outfits.

Day 4: Bridget Awosika open the show with her very elegant pieces. Very girly, flirty and chic. Well tailored and my favorite model for LFDW 2015 Nikky Anyansi rocked one very love outfit. She slayed that piece.

Ade Bakare. One word. Breath taking. I loved one jumpsuit so much I'm just going to have to get that for myself for Christmas. His collection was lovely, he stayed true to his brand, lots of organza, raw silk, flirty, girly and very chic. He is still one of my favorite Nigerian designers. Very soft spoken and talented.

The jumpsuit I'm in love with by Ade Bakare.

Lanre Da Silver Ajayi, an extraordinary designer. I couldn't wait to see her collection first hand but thanks to Instagram I saw videos. Yes I missed it. It was wonderful.

Tiffany Amber another amazing designer I missed seeing her collection but had to see it online. A breath of fresh air.

I had am amazing time this past week. And boy am I so inspired. I can't wait for my own designs to walk the runway. I will get there. Like Someone said to me, The journey of a thousand miles begins with one good step, once you have taken the step, remain steadfast, keep sowing good seeds your harvest will be bountiful.

I am steadfast. I will get there!
